One of the most significant ways we can help decrease the number of homeless pets entering our shelter is through our spay & neuter program.
How to Apply….
– 45 coupons will be issued each month, on a first-come first-serve basis. Apply on the first of the month for the best opportunity – they go quickly.
– You can apply for a coupon at the link below. Approved applicants will have a coupon mailed to them in 5-7 days.
– You can fill out an application in person at the Jefferson City Animal Shelter – 2308 Hyde Park Road, Jefferson City. You can complete this application anytime – coupons will be mailed on the 5th-7th of the following month.
– An application must be completed for each pet.
– Only 3 coupons will be allowed per person, per year.
Coupon Rules….
– The coupons are good for $100.00 off of a spay or neuter surgery for cats, dogs, and rabbits!
– The coupons must be used at one of the participating veterinary clinics listed below. The clinics are in Jefferson City, MO or the immediately surrounding area.
– Only one coupon may be used per animal.
– You must present the coupon to the clinic at the time of payment, and the amount will be deducted from your vet bill. Do not mail the coupon to us for reimbursement – we will only reimburse the clinic.
– You have 90 days from the issue date to have your pet’s surgery performed. Most vets will not perform a spay/neuter surgery until the animal is 3-6 months old. Please verify this with the vet you intend to use if your pet is very young. Please do not apply if your pet will not be eligible for surgery within that 90 days, we will not extend the expiration date, and you will have to reapply later.
– If the coupon is used at a clinic where the spay or neuter surgery costs less than $100.00, the balance of the coupon can be used towards additional services and products during the same visit:
– Including: Vaccinations, microchipping, de-wormer, flea/tick or heart worm preventative, Elizabethan-collars, or another medical procedure
–Excluding: Declawing, dew claw removal, ear cropping, or tail docking
If we are out of coupons you may receive a message that you need to login. This is an error with WeForms. You do not need to login. You may also get a wheel that keeps spinning. This also means we are out of coupons. Please check back the following month.
If your application is accepted you will receive a green confirmation box that looks like this. If you do not receive this confirmation then your application was not accepted.
